Yamamoto made his major league debut on March 21, 2024 against the San Diego Padres at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea as part of the MLB World Tour. He allowed five runs on four hits and a walk in only one inning of work with two strikeouts, the first of which was Jurickson Profar. https://whatsupmichigan.com/the-elon-musk-and-nicole-shanahan-scandal/ The five runs allowed were the most ever by a Dodgers starter in their major league debut pitching an inning or less. On April 6, against the Chicago Cubs, Yamamoto picked up his first MLB win. He struck out eight while allowing just three hits in five scoreless innings, retiring the last ten batters he faced.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Carlos Rodon both made their World Series debuts, but the former easily outshined his opponent with a commanding performance across 6.1 innings, allowing just one hit (home run via Juan Soto) and recording four strikeouts.
• Tommy Edman got the scoring started with a homer in the second. He played center field on Saturday, becoming the second player in postseason history to homer as both a shortstop, as he did in the NLCS, and center fielder, joining teammate Chris Taylor, who accomplished the feat in 2017. Edman is the seventh Dodger with a World Series homer as a CF, joining Duke Snider (11), Pete Reiser, Taylor, Jim Wynn, Cody Bellinger and Hi Myers.
The two starters, Flaherty and Cole, kept the game scoreless through the first four innings. After Enrique Hernández hit a triple in the bottom of the fifth inning, he scored the game’s first run via a sacrifice fly by Will Smith. In the top of the sixth, Giancarlo Stanton hit a two-run home run after a Juan Soto walk, giving the Yankees a 2–1 lead and knocking Flaherty out of the game. Cole was removed from the game after giving up a leadoff single to Teoscar Hernández in the seventh. In the bottom of the eighth, Shohei Ohtani hit a ball off the top of the outfield wall and reached second base, but Juan Soto’s throw got away from second baseman Gleyber Torres, and Ohtani advanced to third base. The next batter, Mookie Betts, hit a sacrifice fly to score Ohtani and tie the game.
Star wars open world game
Just like Gerighty says, Outlaws does a magnificent job of making sure its activities don’t feel like a checklist. Maybe that’ll change deep into the game, once you’ve found a ton of intel and have all kinds of potential missions dotted on your map, but the objectives I found were varied and rewarding enough that I kept wanting more.
Star Wars Outlaws is a momentous occasion – the first true open-world video game the series has ever seen. That fact alone puts a lot of expectations on Outlaws, and the open-world element is by far the most fascinating aspect of the game. Outlaws breaks from the formulaic tradition of most Ubisoft open-world games, instead squarely putting the focus on exploration and immersion. The game is at its best when these elements come together for unforgettable moments like blazing across grassy hills on your speeder as thugs chase you out of their base, making it through a nail-biting shootout after your infiltration into an Imperial base goes wrong, or saving a suave but inept Crimson Dawn agent who locked himself in a room aboard a space station.
When I brought up how much my hands-on time with Outlaws’ open world reminded me of Red Dead Redemption – appropriate, given how much Westerns inspired pieces of Star Wars in the first place – Gerighty surprised me by referencing another beloved open-world game. “It’s super interesting because my biggest reference was Ghost of Tsushima, which is more on the Kurosawa side of inspiration than the Western, the John Ford side of the inspiration for George Lucas,” he explains.
But, Kay isn’t alone in this endeavor, either. The first trailer introduced us to her loyal companion, Nix, a four-legged furry alien who embodies Star Wars creature design at its finest. You’ll also be adventuring alongside a trenchcoat-wearing commando droid called ND-5, as you gather a team for a big heist mission.
Star Wars Outlaws does not feature multiplayer. Instead, it’s a single player, open world action game, in the same vein as Watch Dogs or Assassin’s Creed. You’ll get to visit five planets, and can even fly up into space to plunder shipwrecks and other treasures.
Hardest game in the world
When it comes to challenging racing games, “F-Zero GX” is downright infamous! This futuristic racer seems designed to be as difficult to win as possible! The speeds involved are ridiculous and each track is full of hairpin turns, forcing precise reactions or you’ll crash! Your boost meter is also your life bar, so boost too much, and you’re toast, but boost too little and you’ll lose! And cheating A.I.? You betcha’! Why do they get unlimited boost?! But, if you can hone your skills as a racer, you’ll experience one of the tightest, speediest racing games around. At least, if you don’t Falcon Punch your system out of frustration.
This sci-fi adventure is not for everyone, but those who enjoy punishing experiences will find a lot to love, particularly within the layered story. While Returnal can be admittedly frustrating at times, it’s worth pushing through the pain to get to the credits.
When Cuphead was first revealed, it looked like a homage to cartoons from the 1940s and 1950s. Little did players know that lurking beneath this cute exterior was one of the hardest games of all time. Don’t ever judge a Cuphead by its cover, and make sure you sip some chamomile tea to calm your nerves before tackling this one.
Just one…more…try. The gameplay features a single bird, that you control with one button to fly higher to reach the next area. There’s something about Flappy Bird that gets under your skin and makes you determined to keep going – no matter how many phones you get through which makes it one of the hardest games of all time.

Game 7 world series 2019
Washington scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, when Gerardo Parra scored on a Juan Soto ground out with the bases loaded and one out. Corbin pitched six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out five. After his exit, the Nationals bullpen allowed the bases to become loaded before a grand slam by Alex Bregman off Fernando Rodney in the seventh inning extended Houston’s lead to 8–1. It was the 20th ever World Series grand slam and first since Addison Russell hit one in Game 6 of the 2016 World Series. With no further scoring, the Astros evened the series, 2–2, ensuring a sixth game in Houston. This was the fifth time a World Series started with the road team winning the first four games, the most recent occurrence having been 1996.
Corbin and Strasburg combined to post 10.6 WAR in 2019 and that’s regular season only. They’ve been worth minus-2.0 WAR in the three years since. The Nationals won the World Series in Year 1 of Corbin’s six-year, $140 million contract, so from the “flags fly forever” perspective, it was well worth it. He is now the worst starting pitcher in baseball though, and if not for that World Series win, Corbin would go down as one of the worst free agent signings in recent baseball history. (And he still might.)
The below game summaries include a line score of each game, showing the runs scored by each team during each inning. Various baseball terms appearing in the summaries can be found in the glossary of baseball terms. The performance of pitchers in a game is often summarized by wording such as “two runs on three hits while striking out four batters”, indicating how many runs and hits the pitcher allowed (the fewer, the better) and how many opposing batters the pitcher struck out (the more, the better).
A team doesn’t fall this far, this fast without a lot going wrong. Here are four reasons the Nationals have gone from World Series champion to last place team (and trading away Soto) in three years’ time.
So where do the Nationals go next now that Soto has been traded? Well, they’re going to go to a new owner, we know that much. The team is for sale and we’re not going to know the franchise’s direction until they’re sold. Does the new ownership group endorse a long multi-year rebuild? They may have no choice. Do they want to make an effort to contend for an extended postseason spot in 2023? It may sound crazy but it’s not. Look what the Padres tried in 2015. Everything is a mystery until the new owner takes over.
